This message asks if you would like to copy the contents of your local library to iCloud. When iCloud is turned on, SnippetsLab reads from and writes to iCloud directly. When iCloud is turned off, SnippetsLab stores your library in a local directory. The local and iCloud libraries are separate. This message only appears if you already have snippets before enabling iCloud. “Do you want to upload your current library to iCloud?” It should complete within a few minutes in most cases, but may require additional time if the system is syncing other data in your iCloud account. The time required to complete the initial download may vary based on the size of your library, the current system condition, as well as the workload of the iCloud sync machinery on macOS. This is most likely to happen when setting up a new Mac, or after a system reset. To ensure data integrity, you must wait until the download is complete before turning on iCloud. This message means that the system is currently downloading your iCloud library in the background. “The iCloud library is being downloaded, please try again later.” If you turn iCloud sync back on, your iCloud library reappears. Before actually turning off iCloud, however, SnippetsLab asks whether to keep a separate, local copy of your iCloud library.Īfter turning off iCloud Sync, you can still access your iCloud library on your other Macs still using iCloud.
